Art Class  & Workshop Policies ( For Kid & Adult Classes)

Registration

Our class registration process offers the flexibility of online registration, making it easy and convenient for parents and artists alike. You can always call the studio for questions and help with the registration process if needed.

We understand that life can get busy, and if you need to register your artist late into a session already in progress, we will pro-rate the cost of the remaining classes if space is available.

At our studio, we take age appropriateness seriously and ask that artists only register for classes indicated in the class description. If a student (child or adult) registers for a course outside their age group, we will contact you to place you in an appropriate class.

Payment & Cancellation

To ensure your artist’s enrollment, all deposits and tuition must be paid in full, as well as any applicable fees. If we see any issues or concerns that could jeopardize their spot in a class, we will notify you promptly to address the case before the next class begins. As our classes are small, we do not offer refunds for cancellation, and once your artist is enrolled, we turn away other artists to ensure that each student receives the attention and instruction they deserve.

At our institution, we understand that life can be unpredictable, so we offer a refund policy for tuition fees. If a student notifies us of their withdrawal at least two weeks prior to the first class, they will receive a full refund for their tuition fees. However, we do charge a $25 administration fee for withdrawals made between two weeks and the first day of class. Please keep in mind that we do not offer any refunds for any reason after the first session of a class. It is important to note that tuition fees do not include administration fees or supplies.

Attendance

And because life can be unpredictable, attending classes can sometimes be challenging. However, attendance is crucial for achieving your art goals and maximizing your learning experience. That being said, we do not prorate any missed classes or offer refunds. But, we offer the opportunity for makeup classes, up to two per semester, for those who request them.

If you miss a class without prior notice, it will be classified as a “no show” and will not be recorded. Unfortunately, there will be no opportunity to make up for the missed class, and no refund or credit will be issued. It is essential to communicate any changes in attendance to ensure the best possible learning experience.

When your child feels sick, please refrain from sending them to the art studio. If they aren’t attending school due to illness, they aren’t expected to attend art class. Our staff reserves the right to restrict admission or send a child home if, in our opinion, the child is ill or poses a health or safety risk. To schedule a sick day make-up session, please contact the studio.

In the event of inclement weather resulting in the studio’s closure, we will promptly inform you of the class cancellation and arrange for rescheduled make-up sessions.

Studio Conduct

At our studio, we uphold a zero-tolerance policy for disruptive behavior, whether you are an adult or a child studying art. In the event that your conduct causes disruptions in the classroom, we may have a conversation about studio conduct (we will reach out to the parents of an enrolled child about correcting behavior). If the behavior continues to be disruptive to other students, an enrolled student may be dismissed without a refund.

Damages/Risks

By signing up for a painting session, you accept full responsibility for the risks associated with using paint. This means that you acknowledge and accept all potential hazards that may arise from using paint and related materials during the class or party. It is essential to understand that there are conditions and expectations that you must adhere to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being. The studio will not be held liable for any health risks or outcomes taken by students or patrons; by entering Art By Angie Studio, you accept all responsibility and liability.

It is the teacher’s discretion to determine whether a student has mishandled or used the materials without permission. In such instances, the studio will not be liable for any damages caused by the student. The studio may also contact the student for reimbursement of the damaged materials. It is, therefore important to ensure that you handle the materials with utmost care and adhere to the rules and guidelines provided by the teacher.

Parties

Registration

Our public in-studio parties and private party booking process offer the flexibility of online registration, making it easy and convenient for parents and artists alike. You can always call the studio for questions and help with the registration process if needed.

Private parties must have a deposit paid to secure your selected booking date. The remaining service balance must be paid in full by the specified date on your invoice. If your invoice is not paid in full, you will not receive services, and no refund will be given on your deposit.

All parties, public or private, have a specified start and end time. Suppose your group isn’t present at the beginning of the painting party. In that case, the instructor will not always be able to wait on them, so we ask all partygoers to be punctual to consider all party participants and instructors. Extra studio time, (if available), will be given to those willing to pay an additional fee to keep the studio open.

Refund Process For Public In-Studio Parties

Once booked, you can cancel attendance for any public in-studio party and receive a full refund of your ticket price upon notifying the studio no less than 72 prior to the service date. We will not give any refund or credit after this time.

Refund Process For Private Paint Parties

If you book a private party, either in-studio or at a venue of your choosing, you may cancel no less than 73 hours before your service date. You will receive a partial refund, excluding your deposit to hold the date. If canceling less than 73 hours before the day of your party, there will be no refunds given.

If, for any reason, Art By Angie chooses to cancel any public in-studio or private paint party, all deposits and service fees will be refunded immediately.

Private Party Conduct

It is our aim to keep a tidy art studio. While you are welcome to bring any decorative materials or food to private parties, we ask that you leave the studio as you enter, taking all party materials, trash, and supplies with you that were brought in. If any food, trash, or anything considered “waste” is left behind after a party, we reserve the right to contact you for a cleaning reimbursement fee.

Art By Angie is not responsible for any personal items brought into the studio. If you believe you have lost or left a personal item behind, please contact the studio to check our Lost & Found department.
